Tonight is Livi's first night sleeping in her room. She has been sleeping all night for a while (in our room), and since we don't need the air conditioner at night anymore, it's time. She went to bed fine. I heard her get quiet and peaked in on her, she was still. I went in to see if she was asleep and this is how I found her:
Notice the little foot peeking out from between the bars, lol. Don't worry I fixed it after I took this picture and also pulled the bumper back up to the top of the crib. She doesn't usually move much at night, so I don't think she'll get past the bumpers again. I'm suprised she is sleeping on her side, she usually sleeps flat on her back. As long as she sleeps all night, I don't care if she sleeps standing on her head, LOL!

Me & My Pumpkin
Aunt Kathy, Uncle Jorge and Mom Mom stopped by today to bring Juli & Livi pumpkins for Halloween. Juli loved them. She had an instant friend. After her nap, she found her pumpkin again and spent quite a long time talking to it and playing with it. It was very reminiscent of Tom Hanks & "Wilson" in Cast Away.
Here is Juli & her Pumpkin:
Here is Juli taking Pumpkin for a ride in her bike. Before the ride, she took Pumpkin on her sliding board and in her playhouse. Of course when it was time to come in, Pumpkin had to come in too. He/She even sat at the table with her while she ate dinner!

My Pajamas
Juli is wearing my "chinese" pajamas from when I was a little girl that my grandmom bought me in San Francisco. It finally fits her. Well the shirt does, the pants are still super long on her. They have been in her drawer for a long time and she asks if she can wear them just about every night. The other night I tried them on and they fit. I let her wear them to bed and she was very happy! She kept saying, "Mommy, I'm borrowing your PJs?" lol. Yeah, sure maybe I'll wear them tomorrow! lol

To The Mall We Go
On Sunday, we went to the mall with Denise and Katie. Of course, Olivia used the time out of the house to catch up on her sleep.
To give Livi some peace and quiet, Juli and Katie rode in the double stroller. They are definitely double trouble!

The girls also got to go on the carousel. Not a great picture, but I had to stand with them, so it was the best I could do while trying to hold on and go in circles! A picture from the front would have been better. At least they both turned around when I called them!
Welcome to the World!
Dylan Reilly was born at 12:30am this morning to Brigette and Dominic!! He weighs in at 5lbs 13 oz and is 17 inches long.

Princess for a Day
Ok, so I know it's supposed to be "Wordless Wednesday" and I'll get to that tonight - no unseen pictures here at work with me. Although I should have taken one yesterday.
Yesterday, I did something I swore I wouldn't do. I left the house with my child wearing a floppy spongy princess crown, carrying a straw bag/purse, and wearing socks with her crocs. Yes, I was that mom. She was wearing socks because we were going to look for sneakers for her, which we did not get by the way. The other attire was purely her choice and it was easier and less time consuming to let her wear it.
I was hoping she would leave it in the car once we got to the store. Alas, she did not. I actually put the straw bag on the floor of the car as I took her out of her carseat hoping she would forget. As I went to shut the door, she yells, "OH NO! MY POCKETBAG!" (I'm guessing this is what she's calling pocketbooks these days.) So she proudly wore her pocketbag and crown into the store.
Wearing the crown did earn her 3 Disney Princess stickers from the salesgirl. Great, like she needed more encouragement.

Sleeping Juli
Juli fell asleep by herself tonight. No, this is not something she does regularly. It has been a battle since birth to get her to go to sleep. Tonight she laid down and went to sleep all by herself when I told her to. She also put herself down at naptime too. She has to go to sleep by herself at school. I'm thinking this school thing may be good for her.
Note she is still wearing her slippers. I didn't want to try to take them off since she was laying down, so I'll take them off later. Let's hope this is the start of something beautiful...

Here I Am to Save the Day!
Juli had school again after almost a week of not being there. As I'm driving into the parking lot she yells - "THERE'S THE PLAYGROUND!!!".
I said, "Yep, there it is."
Then she says, "Where are my friends?"
me - "They are probably inside."
J - "Are they waiting for me?"
me - "Sure."
We go in and I'm getting everything into her cubby. As I'm doing this she runs into the classroom and goes, "I'M HERE EVERYONE!!". lol
Well at least I know she likes it!

First Day of School
So Juli started school today! I was really nervous but she did great. When we were getting ready to leave, she put on her little backpack and says, "I'm so glad to go to school!".
When we got there she went in and never looked back. She immediately started playing with the other kids. Then she noticed a little girl sitting at a table by herself coloring. She walked over and said, "Hi. Why you sitting all by yourself?" Then she sat down and started coloring with her while chatting her up! Her cousin Katie is in her class so she definitely has a friend there. Hopefully the rest of the day went as smoothly!
When we went back to pick her up, she didn't want to come home. They told us she did good. She went to sleep by herself at nap time on her mat! (This is no small feat! She's usually very clingy when she is going to sleep - and she needs help getting to sleep, unless she is in the car.) She was having so much fun there that she actually started crying because she wanted to stay at school! We told her she could go back tomorrow and she was OK with that until we tried to put her in the car. She didn't want to get in her seat because she didn't want to leave! Eventually she calmed down and we went home.
At home she kept talking about how much fun school was. She told us they have some of the same toys there that she has. She also told us the teacher read her "The Hungry Caterpillar" Book. We don't have that one at home, so they definitely read it there. She doesn't know (or at least says she doesn't) the other kids names yet, she calls them my boys and my girls.
Her teacher is Miss Donna and I think Miss Jen. I don't know if Miss Jen is in her class or another. I asked her what her teacher's name is and she told me Miss Donna. Then I asked her if she had any other teachers, and she said, "Yeah, Miss Aunt Jenn." I said, do you mean Miss Jen? She said, "Yeah, Miss Aunt Jenn." I said, no you have an Aunt Jenn and a teacher named Miss Jen. She just kept calling her Miss Aunt Jenn. :-)
She can't wait to go back tomorrow. I'm just glad she liked it!
