A little R&R

96/365: A little R&R, originally uploaded by sanboogie.

Livi seemed to be on the mend. Nothing like a little rest and relaxation to lift your spirits. We hung out in our PJs and watched TV for most of the day.

You give me fever.

95/365: You give me fever., originally uploaded by sanboogie.

Poor Livi ended up with a fever of 102 tonight. She was fine this morning, she woke up from her nap with a fever. Luckily CiCi took Juli and I was able to give Livi my undivided attention.

About 20 minutes after a bath and going to bed she threw up ALL over herself and her crib. Luckily that was the only time that happened.

Goofy Girls

Silly kids. Juli is reading Dr. Seuss in her bathing suit and Livi is trying to put on Juli's underpants. LOL This is a typical night at our house.

Someone needs a time out.

And I think it might be me. LOL I didn't get a chance to upload these photos right away, so I'm not even sure what this fit was over. I just remember it being a really whiney night.

Old Friends, New Friends

Today we were finally able to meet up with some friends today that I have known online for a while. The mommy and I were in a group together while we were pregnant. Our girls are now a year and a half old. We also have older girls that are a month or so apart. Our older girls are in the same dance class, so we will be seeing each other often!

Billy

85/365: Billy, originally uploaded by sanboogie.

Billy (the stuffed lamb in this picture) has been a big part of our lives since Juli was about 3 months old. She took to him and wouldn't let go. Since she was about 6 or 7 months old, she would not go to sleep without him. She rubs the satin ribbon between her thumb and forefinger until she falls asleep. He's her lovey and her best friend.

I don't know if she realizes it yet or not, but there are actually about 5 "billies" in rotation at our house. LOL

Livi Loves Windows

82/365: Livi Loves Windows, originally uploaded by sanboogie.

Livi always climbs up on the couch and sits on the radiator to look out the back window. She learned this from her big sister. It's always been a favorite spot of Juli's too.

First Day of Dance Class

Juli had her first dance class today. She was so excited to go. Livi got upset and had a fit when Juli put her leotard and tutu on. Juli got her dress-up tutu for Livi to wear and everyone was happy!

81/365: Tutu Sisters

Juli was more than happy to pose for me before we left.

Julianna Ballerina

Juli and Katie are in the same class. They were so excited when they got there this morning.

Tiny dancers

The class had only 4 little girls in it today. Juli and Katie were happy to see another little girl from their class at school, so there was only one girl they didn't know. They introduced themselves and they were off. It was great. Since there are two teachers there is plenty of interaction and the girls were able to follow along closely. This picture was before class started. Livi wanted to dance with the big girls. Once the class started we were able to watch them from the waiting area on a tv screen. They were so cute dancing and bobbing around!

Mooooo

76/365: Mooooo, originally uploaded by sanboogie.

We bought a box of fudge while we were down the shore. Juli saw us putting it in the fridge and wanted to know what it was. James told her it was a cow. She asked if she could see it. He told her yes, but she had to cover her ears.

He proceeded to moo as he opened the box and quickly closed it. Livi came over and got in on the action. They had to make sure they covered their ears or the cow wouldn't moo.

This went on until James told them it was time for the cow to go to sleep and we needed to put him back in the fridge. He gave Juli the honor and told her she had to be super careful putting him back.

I never saw her move so slow and cautiously before! LOL!!!

It was still a cow until the next day when we took the fudge out to have a piece. Gullible kids.

Roar to the Shore

This past weekend we went to Wildwood for their bike week, Roar to the Shore. We worried they may cancel it since Tropical Storm Hanna was moving in on us, but it went on as planned. Some days were wetter than others, but we had a good time.

James and Joseph rode their bikes down earlier on Friday and we met up with them just in time for the rain to start.

73/365: Hanna Time

With Hanna in town, it rained off and on most of Saturday. It really downpoured from about 3pm until around 8pm. Earlier in the afternoon we went over to the Wildwood Convention Center to see the Pro Bike Builder Show. There were a lot of really cool bikes there. It did look like a lot of builders may have bailed out due to the storm.

This picture is of Arlen Ness. Apparently he is a bigshot in the custom bike world. James knew who he was right away. I am lucky that I remember his name! LOL

74/365: Bike Show

Just before the worst of the storm, we took a ride down to the beach to see what the ocean looked like. The waves don't look to bad in this picture, but they were pretty big. (I have no idea who that little girl is - our girls were with my parents).

The calm before the storm

On Saturday night it cleared up enough that we were able to get out for a bit and go up on the boardwalk.

After the storm

Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous day and the bikes were out in full force. Here is a very small sampling. This was a parking lot closest to the convention center. The streets were completely lined with bikes as well. If you had been able to look past the parking lot and onto the streets you would have been able to see bikes all up and down both sides of all of the surrounding streets. This was quite a site to see!

Roar to the shore

On Sunday there was a charity event where thousands of bikes rode on the boardwalk. Here are James (in front) and Joseph riding in the event on the boardwalk. It doesn't look boardwalk-y (lol) because we were in front of the convention center and it is all concrete right there.

Safety Town

On Monday, we picked up Katie and took all the girls to Safety Town to ride their bikes. They had a blast!

Juli and Katie devising a plan, I'm sure.

Livi in the back, Katie in the middle, Juli off her bike up by the fence.

Katie helping Livi get her helmet on.

Katie going for a ride.

OH MY GAWD, those two are getting on my last nerve!

Livi had a good time being a pedestrian in safetytown.

Juli going for a ride. She has been doing really well on this bike. She keeps asking us when we are going to take her training wheels off. Uh, never. LOL

We did go over to the playground too, but I didn't get too many good pictures over there since the kids kept splitting up.

Weekend with Nonna & Pop 8.23.08

The girls' school was closed for a little over a week, so they went to spend some time with Nonna and Pop at the campground. Nonna shared these pictures with us.

They had a halloween party that weekend and Nonna cooked up some costumes for the girls. Juli is a campfire and Livi is a smore. In case you can't read Juli's sign it says "Campers have smore fun."

This guy was dressed up for the haunted hayride. Juli was really scared of him. He had to wait until she was cheesing for the camera to hold his mask up!

The girls hanging out.

Juli and her friends.

Livi doing her own thing.

One day they went over to Atlantic City Aquarium (obviously).

Livi, Nonna & Juli

Pop and the girls at the petting tank.

Looks like Juli made a new friend.

Livi, Pop and Juli over there vogueing.

Um, look here everyone!

Posing with a pirate.

Juli took the helm, must be in her blood.

Abescon Lighthouse. Juli climbed all the way to the top and back down with Pop.

Livi playing in the sand.

The girls had a great time and can't wait to go back!
