2007 - Year in Review

As a short recap of this year, here’s a list of some of the things we did.

• We had a 50th birthday bash for Nonna.
• On April 5th, we welcomed Olivia Rose to the world!
• Olivia came home from the hospital on her first Easter, April 8th.
• In May we took a mini-trip to Newport, RI.
• We started a blog.
• We took some day trips to places like the Zoo and the Aquarium.
• Juli spent some time at one of her favorite places, the campground, this summer.
• Our yard was invaded by baby bunnies!
• Julianna had her first X-Rays.
• We FINALLY got our deck project finished!
• Julianna started school in September.
• Olivia was Baptised in September.
• We welcomed our new cousin, Dylan Reilly to the family.
• We went to a few weddings (Albee & Ro, Karen & Chris).
• We went to a few showers (Brigette's baby shower, Amy's wedding shower).
• We went on Vacation to Florida/Disney!
• Olivia finally got her first two teeth!
• Olivia learned to roll, sit, scoot, crawl, cruise and many other things in between!
• Julianna learned how to share her home and be a big sister!

Overall, it's been a great year! We’re looking forward to next year and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!

Sweet Dreams

Juli got a new Cinderella (princess) comforter and sheets for her bed for Christmas in the hopes that it would entice her to sleep there. We set her up with her new bed and she was really excited! She got in bed and laid down, but once she realized it was bed time, she wanted no part of it! LOL She did fall asleep in it and lasted a few hours there. Hopefully very soon she'll stay there all night.

Chair & Stool

This morning when we woke up, Juli hopped up and sat on James' chest. James said to her, "Am I a chair?"

Juli said, "Kind of." (LOL)

James said to her, "Kind of? Well what about you, are you a chair? Can I sit on you?"

She paused for a split second and said, "hmm. I'm kind of like a stool."

I know this picture is a little blurry, but I thought it was cute. Here's Juli on James' laptop working on "Disney" LOL. She loves to be on the computer and to "type" her letters. She can do her name by herself.

Merry Christmas!

Looks like we made Santa's nice list this year! We came downstairs and there were plenty of presents under the tree!

Juli also got a new camera for Christmas from Grandma and we took a bunch of pictures with that. When we get those uploaded I'll put some on here too. There should be some pictures of Juli & Katie and hopefully everyone else that was here too!

Christmas Eve 2007

As usual we went to Uncle Rick & Aunt Mary's house for the traditional Italian Feast of the 7 Fishes. I didn't take as many pictures as usual. Believe it or not, as I was just looking through the pictures, I realized I didn't have a single picture of Dylan in there! He slept most of the time, so I didn't want to wake him up. I did hold him though, and compared to Livi he is like a little feather! So cute!

Juli was a little shy for some reason. As soon as Nicole (a neighbor) came over she perked right up and they were inseperable!

Unfortunately because all the babies were tired and cranky we didn't get family/group pictures. Maybe next year we should do those first. ;-)

And Then There Were Two

Olivia's second tooth (bottom front) has finally broke through. It's not out much, just the corner. Although, if she bites you it does hurt like heck! She is still chewing on everything she can and has been having a hard time sleeping the last few nights, but I'm hoping that gets better now that this tooth is in. She won't let me look at it, let alone get a good picture! Here's our best shot, you can see her "First Tooth" pretty well now...

Juli brought home presents for us that she made in school. She was so proud and excited that she couldn't even wait for me to get home from work to open it. LOL Oh well, I still love it even though I didn't get the thrill of opening it.

Temper, Temper!

Since we always share cute and funny pictures of Juli, I thought I would share the other side of her. Definitely not the softer side. She went into the throes of a temper tantrum, while I happened to have a camera in my hand. The fact that I was taking pictures of her, made her even more mad! LOL

Gingerbread House

Last week Juli and Nonna made a Gingerbread House. Juli loves making stuff with Nonna, especially when it means eating treats, or should I say sneaking them. I'm suprised as much candy ended up on the house as it did!

PBS & PJs

This morning we had some errands to run. We get in the car and Juli asks if we can use PBS for PJs. I had no idea what she was talking about. I thought maybe she saw some pajamas on sale while watching TV, since she does watch PBS. I asked her what she meant and she said, "Daddy's PBS. Can we use it?"

I still have no idea what she's talking about and I tell her as much. She said, "DADDY's PBS. YOU KNOW! I put numbers and letters in it with Daddy. We need it to go to PJs."

Oh.

She wanted to use the GPS to get to BJs (the wholesale club).

The girls took a nap at the same time today. I laid Livi on Juli's blanket after she fell asleep. They looked so cute, I couldn't resist taking a picture.

A Visit With Santa

On Saturday we took the girls to the mall for some shopping and of course to see Santa. Juli was excited to see him and tell him what she wanted for Christmas (a puppy dog whose head moves up and down???). I was really worried about Livi since she seems to cry when anyone but me touches her. We got there and waited in line. When it was our turn, I told the girl at the camera that I was going to let Juli chat with Santa for a bit and when the girl was ready I was just going to stick Livi on because she was going to scream bloody murder. She told me she was ready when I was. I stuck Livi on Santa's lap and she started checking him out, while we waited for her to cry. She turned around and grabbed his beard and smiled the biggest smile at him. The photograper did get the picture, but Juli looked drunk in it, so we took a few more. We called them and they both looked, although Livi didn't want to let go of his beard. Thankfully (or not for him!) his beard was real! LOL
