Cinco de Mayo (a little bit late)
We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. The girls really had a good time and Juli keeps asking to go back.

A Blissful Day of Nothingness
We spent the day splashing around the pool while James golfed. We had plans to go to Margaritaville for dinner with the rest of the gang. When we got there most of the restaurants were closed for a private event. We never did figure out what was going on. We decided to stay at Universal City Walk since it was late the girls were hungry and getting cranky. The NASCAR cafe was open, so we ate there. We had a good time. Juli loved the race cars outside. She is perfecting her Vanna White pose. LOL

Mmmm Corn!

We haven't had much corn this summer. We grabbed a few ears from the supermarket since we were having chicken on the grill. It definitely wasn't as good as fresh Jersey corn, but it did the job.
This was the first time we gave Livi the whole cob. She wasn't quite sure what to do at first.
She figured it out pretty quickly. She was getting frustrated that she couldn't really get it off the cob.
Look at the old pro go!

Spoon Noses
Katie joined us for dinner tonight. We had crockpot chicken for dinner. The girls were not too interested in the chicken. They did find a new use for their spoons. Juli somehow got it to stick on her nose and then couldn't figure out how to do it again. She finally figured it out.

Hopefully this is a trick that falls to the wayside!

Sleep Eating
While Juli was still with my parents, James, Livi and I went out to eat for dinner on Saturday night. Livi must have really been tired. She fell asleep eating her dinner!! Yes she really is sleeping while still chewing on her pickle!

Mash Potato, Mash Potato
Last night for dinner we had roast beef, mashed potatoes and peas. Livi LOVED the mashed potatoes. She ate everything, but she ate ALL of the potatoes and asked for more (mah, mah, mah, lol).
She is really becoming Little Miss Independent. She will not sit in a high chair anymore. She has to sit at the big table with everyone else. She also has to have a fork or spoon to eat with. She's actually doing really well with utensils. I'm surprised how well she is doing. Not that she's ready for fine dining yet, but she definitely gets some on her fork and some does make it to her mouth!

Dinner and Dancing
We went out to dinner with Grandma tonight. The girls had a good time until we left the diner and left behind Juli's spaghetti. A royal meltdown ensued because she wanted to take her spaghetti home with her, but she didn't tell us that IN the diner. So, that part was REALLY fun!

Juli making a really bad "cheese" face!
I ordered chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes. I figured that would be a good thing to share with Livi. She absolutely loved them. After each bite she would hum and dance. Luckily James thought to whip out the camera and take a video!

Juli Update 8.19.07
Well I think Juli is already feeling somewhat better. Last night I couldn't get her to settle down to go to bed. I think she was just full of energy from resting/sleeping all day. This morning she woke up raring to go. She got up bright and early and was dancing with The Wiggles (that's a kids show for those that don't know! lol)!
She told me she had boo-boos in her mouth. I asked her if they hurt and she said no. I think she only said no, b/c she REALLY didn't like the medicine they gave us for the ulcers (Magic Mouthwash). She is eating a bowl of cheerios as I type. So hopefully the worst is over!

Juli Update
Juli was up off and on all last night with a fever. She vomited a little this morning when she first woke up. She still had issues with walking/standing this morning. I took her back to the doctor and she did walk there. She has been walking off and on today. Mostly resting. She also now has blisters/ulcers in her mouth. She did eat some soup and some jello. She also wants lots of juice. The doctor said it is a virus, and they usually last anywhere from 5-14 days or so. Let's hope for 5. They want to see her back on Monday just to check up on things and see how she is doing.
Not much more I can say. My heart is in my throat. My baby is hurting and there is nothing I can do about it.

Happy 4 Month Birthday, Olivia!
Little Miss Olivia is 4 months old today!

I can't believe how fast it went! We started her on cereal the other night since she seemed to be hungry all the time. She seems to really like it. I think I have better pictures in the other camera. If I do, I will post them later. She doesn't look like she likes it in this picture, but she really does! LOL
