I pulled out some art supplies and the girls went to town. Juli used a bunch of foam hearts to make this little lady with a fancy hat. The red heart off to the top left is "the love that is just floatiing out of her because she is so happy."

Picture time!
Yesterday we took the girls for portraits. To see more and read about our experience, go to Denise's blog.
This was the best of the bunch, not an easy task!

To Mom Mom's House We Go
The other day we went to visit Mom Mom, Aunt Connie and the rest of the crew. Livi was really into these little snow globe things that tapped to a song. If you put them all together they all tapped to the same song. Pretty cool.
The infamous Santa Mouse tree. Mom Mom and Pop gave me a book about Santa Mouse when I was a kid and I was really interested. Well it morphed into us having our very own Santa Mouse tree with each of the 12 grandkids having their own yellow light. You can read the whole story, without pictures here.
Mom Mom and Aunt Connie showing the girls all the cool ornaments on the tree. The tree is on a spinning base, so you get to see the whole tree nicely!
Thank you for the presents and for lunch! The girls have been coloring and carrying their pillows around all week!

Pizza Talk
Somehow, the other day, Juli was talking about pizza and school. She insists she doesn't like pizza because she doesn't like sauce. I tried to explain to her that she really likes ketchup and they are made from the same thing, tomatoes. She promptly told me, she doesn't like tomatoes or sauce and ketchup is NOT the same thing.
So I asked her what she does on Pizza Friday at school. Does she eat sauce or do they get white pizza? She said, "Mommy, at school I eat Greasy Pizza. I really like Greasy Pizza."
I said, "Oh, the pizza is greasy? Do you eat the sauce?"
Juli said, "No, it doesn't have sauce, it has grease. It's Greasy Pizza."
I tried to clarify if it was white pizza and she thinks so, but she just kept calling it Greasy Pizza.

Making a List, Checking it Twice
The other day we had to run out to pick up a few things. Juli is very interested in trying to read/write everything so we went over my (very short) list. It looked a little like this:
I also picked up a few other things, that I can't even remember what they are right now, but got the same reaction. "Mommy, that's not on our list, we don't need it." "Mommy, that is not on our list, you should put it back." I heard a few snickers from other shoppers. Luckily someone was amused by it.
I think next time I'm not sharing my list with her. ;-)
- milk
- bread
- AAA batteries

Has Anyone Seen My Good Sleeper?
Is this what hell looks like? A sweet toddler that turns EVIL the moment you try to stick her in her crib? A toddler who previously went in her crib with no problems, now screaming blood curdling screams non-stop until gagging and almost vomiting (she actually did spit up once in the last week) the second you even lean her over the crib.
As soon as I laid her mattress on the floor she hopped right on and laid down. I sat on the floor in her doorway for about 20 - 30 minutes while she settled down and went to sleep. After she fell asleep, I had to go out to the garage to get this gate that we never use anymore!
Heaven help me!
Sorry for the crappy cell phone in the dark quality, but I forgot to grab my camera when I ran downstairs.

Happy New Year!
Ok so I have been a real slacker on pictures and remembering my camera, charging the battery etc. etc. ...
James had to work, so this was our first New Year's Eve withouth him. We celebrated at Chris and Jenine's house. We had a great time! Juli LOVED playing with Katie, Kelly, Liam and Maddie. Livi was too little to go upstairs by herself, so she got stuck downstairs with the grown ups.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so the only picture I took all night was with my phone. Livi almost made it this year. She fell asleep at 11:40pm. Poor kid missed it by 20 minutes. I tried to put her to sleep numerous times before that but I guess she was too excited. She finally crashed and crashed hard. She didn't even flinch when everyone started yelling and blowing horns and making all kinds of noise.
