Holiday Light Show
We went to the Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm with Nonna, Pop and Aunt Karen. The girls loved it. They had a big light display outside the market that "danced" to the beat of the music they were playing. Livi loved that and kept signing for more.
Outside at the musical light show.
Inside they had Santa's North Pole Village. The village seemed to leave a lot to be desired, but we were there after Christmas, so maybe it just fell to the wayside after Christmas and needed some attention.
Some parts were ok. Here's Juli with Frosty. Livi was afraid of most of the characters inside.
Here's Juli in the village with a little snow creature. They had a machine that made snow in there.

After the village, we all hopped in the car and rode through the light show. Most of my pictures came out crappy since it was foggy, I couldn't use a flash and the car was moving. Here's what I could salvage:

Peddler's Village
We decided to take a ride up to Peddler's Village today. There was a Gingerbread House exhibit up there. When we got there, there was a long line to get into a tiny building to see the Gingerbread Houses. We decided to skip it (the pictures of the houses are online anyway) and do some shopping instead.
Juli in the car on the way there.
Taking a little walk around Peddler's Village. It was a very foggy drizzly day so I didn't get many pictures.
We stopped for lunch at the Peddler's Pub. It was a nice cozy little place with good sandwiches.
We stopped to look at the fish in the pond for a while. Juli liked them because they are a red-orange color. She's been into "red-orange" lately.

Here Comes Santa Clause!
Livi liked him much better last year! She was all excited to go see Santa, until she got right in front of him, then she freaked out. We put her on his lap anyway, that's what you're supposed to do isn't it??
Juli on the other hand walked right up, hopped on his lap and told him what she wanted for Christmas. She would have stayed all day if we let her!

O Christmas Tree
Our Christmas tree... Let's see if it survives this holiday season. Everytime I turn around one of the kids is taking something off of it. Livi likes to take ornaments off and bring them to me as she says "Pi-yee" (translation: Pretty). We' ve lost a few ornaments already as they shattered on the kitchen floor or in front of the fireplace as she tried to show me how pretty they were.

Juli's New 'Do
The girls needed haircuts, badly! Every morning we had tangled messes to deal with. Juli loves to go get her hair cut at a boutique for little girls so we promised her a trip. When we asked what kind of haircut she wanted she said shorter.
I said, "How short? Like Daddy's?"
She said, "No silly!!"
I said, "Ok well how short, a little or a lot?"
She said, "Shorter like yours, Mommy."
I told her we will see. We went to the salon and I told the lady to take about 4 or 5 inches off. I did still want to be able to put it in a pony tail.
In the meantime, Livi was not as crazy about getting her haircut and got pretty upset. While I was trying to keep her still and quiet for her cut, I looked over and saw a clump of Juli's hair that was about 6 or 7 inches long. I thought I was going to have a panic attack.
Juli, on the other hand, LOVED it and was very excited about it. I do like it, but I'm still having a hard time adjusting.

Holiday Celebration at School
The girls' school had a Holiday Party. Each class sang a song, it was cute! I got to have lunch with the girls (James was on the boat, and missed it by only a few hours).
Videos to follow...
Here is Livi's class all ready to sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I did try to video and I got about 5 seconds of it, not sure what happened with the camera. If Denise has a video I will post it later.
What cute little reindeer!
In the style of Where's Waldo - where's Juli?
Katie's class wearing their Driedle hats, there was something else on the other side, but I can't remember what it was right now.
Juli's class getting ready to sing.
Juli eating lunch in the kindergarten classroom.
