Our Memorial Day

We were supposed to go down the campground with the rest of the family on Monday. Livi was having slight fevers over the weekend that I thought may be due to teething, but didn't want to venture that far from home to find out they were not due to teething. Of course on Monday she seemed fine. So rather than just sit at home I decided to take the girls to the playground. We went to a different one than the one we usually go to. We had been there before, but fairly infrequently and not this season.

When we got there Juli was super excited to go to a "new" playground. She then told me that Nonna and Pop and Uncle Frankie had taken her here when they were on a lunch break at the campground (LOL) but it was still a "new" playground.

Here's a few pictures from my point and shoot camera. I took some with the big camera, but haven't had a chance to get them off the camera yet.

Busy Day

We had a very busy day today. First Livi mowed the grass.
Then Juli had a fit over something to do with the water table so we had to go inside.

Livi sat her down and had a talk with her.

Then Livi took a union break.

After that it was back to business.

I just thought this was neat. I noticed the girls' reflections were really clear in the water on the deck. I took a picture expecting it to not look the same, but it came out ok.

After dinner we went out for an evening stroll. Juli pooped out about halfway through and ended up in the stroller with Livi.

Thankfully everyone is pooped out now and sleeping in their beds!

A Little Light Reading

Yesterday Juli was in the living room being awful quiet. I went in to check on her and this is what I found:

Rainbow

On Thursday night after all the rain, Juli and Nonna were on the porch and they spotted a rainbow out back. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was pretty amazing.

Singing In the Rain

Over the weekend we were playing outside when the rain rolled in. The girls were having fun playing in the water table and didn't want to go in. They were already wet from the water table, so we figured why not let them play in the rain a little bit. We thought it would be a passing shower but it turned into a downpour!!

After a little while we decided to get everyone inside and get warm PJs on the girls. They decided to make "camp" under my kitchen table.

Juli just could not escape Livi.

Katie was under there too. She was hiding in the corner under the "blanket" which happened to be a sweatshirt! LOL

Sesame Place

Yesterday we took the girls to Sesame Place. Juli was super excited about going to see "where Elmo lives!" As soon as Juli saw this sign she started running and screaming, "SESAME PLACE, SESAME PLACE, SESAME PLACE!!" and dragging poor James behind her!

As soon as we got inside the park, Juli spotted Super Grover. She was much more excited to meet the characters than she looks in the pictures! LOL

There were A LOT of water rides in the park. We did our best to avoid them and ended up promising to come back when it was warm enough to do them. Instead we found lots of fun things for the girls to do. Here's Juli climbing up a mountain of huge balls to go down a slide.

The shovel and pail you see behind James and Juli is actually another slide. You climb up in the back of the bucket and slide down the sand.

Next we found Cookie Monster on Sesame Street. Livi wasn't really digging the characters, which if you know Livi is no surprise.

Juli in Mr. MacIntosh's grocery store. No idea who Mr. MacIntosh is, when I was little it was Mr. Hooper's store.

Juli and Livi hanging out on Sesame Street. Unfortunately they don't have the Oscar the Grouch trashcan that you could get your picture taken in anymore. :-( Of course they probably haven't had it for years, but how the heck would I know??

Here we are watching Elmo's World Live. Livi still wasn't sure about the characters, even from a distance!


Livi did love this HUGE playpit though. It was all soft surfaces and blocks for little kids. Unfortunately she only got to spend about five minutes there because someone stole our stroller so we had to go look for it. We found it a little while later after some searching around a corner. We think someone grabbed the wrong stroller and when they realized it they just left it there.

Since we found the stroller over by the carousel, Juli and James decided to go on. Juli has a thing for carousels. She loves to ride the one in the mall every time we go there.

Here's Livi waiting while Juli and I went on some flying Elmo ride. Juli wanted to go on it because she "misses the one at Disney." It was a lot like the Dumbo ride, except the cars were Elmos dressed up as fish.

I took about a million pictures of the teacups hoping to get a few good ones. It was hard because they were moving so fast and Juli is so little I could barely see her in the cup! LOL I love how happy/excited Juli looks in these!



After the Teacups we went to meet Zoe and Elmo. Juli LOVES Zoe. She told me she is her favorite character.

Here's Juli in the Monster Maze. These punching bag things kept knocking her over. She thought it was pretty funny.

This may have been Juli's favorite part. It was a huge airbag/moonbounce type thing. She went in and was running around like she was flying and doing flips and stuff. In fact if you scroll really fast, it may even seem like she is in action!






On our way out we ran into Zoe again. She was just getting to her photo spot when Juli saw her. As soon as she saw Zoe she ran right over to her.
