Party On

Juli went to another party for a classmate. This one was at a Little Gym and Juli loved it. She says she wants to have her birthday here this year. Then again, she did say that after the last party we went to also.

She actually fell off of the balance beam the first time, good thing they have spotters there!

She seemed to like this balance beam better.

They did some really fun stuff with the kids. Most of these kids are in her class.

Juli can't wait to go back to the Little Gym again!

Floors - Before and After

We, and by we I mean James ;-) , pulled up the dingy old carpets in the living room, dining room and off of the steps. Surprisingly, the hardwood floors underneath were not in bad shape. They were in desperate need of a sanding and refinishing, but there wasn't really any damage. It really changes the look of the house! We still need to put moulding/trim on the bottom and do a few other things to finish up the rooms. Here are some before and after pictures:

Happy St. Patrick's Day

In the chaos that was this morning, I told Juli to go get a green shirt to wear today because it is St. Patrick's Day. She said, "Oh! It's St. Patrick's Day!" pause, "Are we going to have a drink?"

It didn't click at first so I said, "When we go downstairs, I'll get your cup like I always do."

She says, "NO Mommy, It's St. Patrick's Day! You just drink all day!!"

I said, "What do you mean?" I know full well what she meant, but I wasn't sure if she did.

She said, "On St. Patrick's Day, you just drink all day. You don't eat." Clearly, she didn't really know what she meant!

I asked her who told her that and she said Daddy. LOL. Nice. I'm not sure if he did or not, but I told her it was okay to eat today. ;-)

Work Work Work

We (and by we I mean James) were getting the floors all ready to be refinished. James had to put a new board in by the doorway. The saw was pretty loud. Check out the girls holding their ears in the background

It's hard to tell from this picture but Livi is actually standing on James' belt on his back as he works. She just kept hopping on him and wouldn't get off. The funny thing is that Juli used to do the same thing to him.

We took a little break and went out for some fresh air. The girls were happy to get to the playground!

Knock Knock

Juli has been into knock knock jokes for a while and now Livi is trying to tell her own. They make no sense, but it still cracks me up.

The other day we were in the car and Juli was telling knock knock jokes. Livi kept yelling, "MOMMY, MOMMY"

So I said, "what Liv?"

Liv - Knock Knock
Me - Who's there?
Liv - LIVI! *cracking up*

Then last night she was laying in bed and kept telling me this one:

Liv - Knock Knock
Me - Who's there?
Liv - AAAAApple!
Me - Apple who?
Liv - HAHAHAHA

Party Time!

Juli was super excited to go to her first party for a classmate today. It was at this really cool bounce play place. I tried to convince her to wear pants, but she kept telling me she had to look pretty for the party. We compromised with leggings. ;-)

Silly Cupid

Juli has a drawer full of bathing suits (or bathing soups as Juli calls them) in her room. Tonight she asked me where I got one from. I told her, "They are there from last summer. That's where we keep it."

She turned around with her eyes all wide and said, "Really? That's so nice of him!"

I said, "What?? What are you talking about? Who?"

She said, "My bathing soups, they're from Cupid!"

I laughed and told her, "No, I said that is where we KEEP IT, not CUPID."

Marching in the Snow

We finally got a decent amount of snow. Juli was up the mountains where they actually got less than we did! Livi was home with me, so we ventured out into the snow for a little while.
