Happy 1st Birthday Sara!!

We celebrated Sara's first birthday with a Barney Garden Party. Karen & Nonna (and everyone else involved) did a great job. The decorations were adorable. The cake was gorgeous. A great time was had by all! Here are some pictures of the big day:

Mountains - Sledding

There was still some snow on the ground up the mountains so we decided to take advantage of it and do some sledding. The road (don't worry, it's not used very often since we are on a dead end) has a nice slight hill that was perfect for the kids. Nonna went to the bottom to "catch" the kids and keep an eye out for cars. Juli attempted snowboarding. Or snow scooting? It was a snowboard thing with a handle, that kind of looked like a scooter without wheels.

The girls all had a great time and couldn't wait to do it again. And again. And again. :-)

MLK Moutain Weekend

We headed up the mountains for the weekend with the family. I'll put a few different posts up with the pictures. Looks like this one of Jenn, Livi and Sara is the only one I took on Friday night.

Cupcakes!

The girls wanted to make cupcakes today, so we did. They were actually Fiber One Muffins, but don't tell the girls that. ;-)

They had a great time decorating their own cupcakes. They were delicious!

The Princess and the Frog

Aunt Jenn went with us to see the Princess and the Frog today. Juli couldn't wait to see it, which meant of course that Livi wanted to see it too. What the heck, why not? They both had a really good time. Livi made it about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through the movie before she got bored and just started dancing in front of her seat and running between me and Jenn. Luckily it was full of kids so no one seemed to notice, there were actually a few other young kids doing the same.

We also saw Alvin and the Chipmunks at the theater. We didn't see the movie, much to Juli's dismay, only the statues adevertising the movie. Livi was afraid to get her picture taken with them. What else is new?

Afterward, the girls did a photobooth and got to take a ride on the carousel. In the eyes of a 2 and 5 year old it was a pretty awesome day.

Not sure why Juli looks like she's watching a horror movie below, she was only watching previews/pre-movie stuff.

New Years Brunch

Happy New Year!

As usual, we had brunch and Denise and Joseph's house. The girls had fun chalking and checking out all of the toys that Santa brought for Katie and Ryan. We also sang Happy Birthday (a little early) to Joseph. Too bad for James he was on the boat and missed it.

The girls were a little tired and cranky from being up so late last night. Some pretty nice meltdowns occured when it was time for us to go home. Luckily naps followed shortly thereafter!
