Sunny Days

We took a trip to Sesame Place with Aunt Karen & Sara.  The kids love it there!  Livi and Sara could do without the characters but they have a good time.

Talented Kids @ Sesame Place

Juli's dance school participated in Talented Kids Day at Sesame Place.  They did a great job!  We had fun at the park after they danced and walked in the parade.

Sesame Spooktacular

We went to Sesame Place for their Spooktacular event. The park was all decorated for Halloween and they had some Trick-or-Treat stations set up.

Juli wore her Tinkerbell costume.

Livi had fun playing in Mr. Hooper's store. Though I don't think it's called Mr. Hooper anymore.

Juli loves meeting the characters.

They were in costume too!

Livi and Daddy fishing for a prize.

The girls playing a game.

Me and Juli on Elmo's Flying Fish ride. Livi doesn't like the rides so she hangs out with Daddy.

We saw Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hunt show.

Juli and Pop went on the roller coaster. They sat right in front! There's Pop waving to us.

Sesame Place, Member Preview Night 2009

I picked the girls up from school early today and we headed to Sesame Place. It opens for the season tomorrow and tonight was Member Preview Night. We got there just as it started to rain again. It had cleared up for most of the afternoon.

Yeah, we got a little wet.

The rain didn't stop the fun though. We got to see each of the characters as they were brought in for the season. Juli was SO excited, she was waving up a storm! Livi was a little leary of the really big characters. They don't look that big on TV!

We went for a walk through the water park, and believe it or not there were people in the water stuff! CRAZY! It was definitely not warm enough for that. We ended up by the theater just in time for a show. Good thing since it started raining pretty good then.

The girls were mesmerized by the show. I didn't catch it on camera, but Livi was singing and dancing and all. At one point she turned to me and said, "I shake my booty." LOL!

Sara woke up after the show started. I think she thought she was still dreaming. LOL

It started to POUR! So we decided to make a run for it and take a dinner break. Lo and behold, just as we were finishing our dinner the sun started coming out!

We headed over to the carousel. Here is Sara and Karen waiting in line:

Sara on the carousel. She didn't actually get to ride the horses, she was a bench rider with Livi who is a little afraid of the horses (LOL). Next time kiddo.
We did some more rides. There is video below on the one, I forget what it was called. It looked like an Elmo bug though. After the rides, Juli and Nonna decided to brave the nets. The started up the stairs and headed straight for the top.

That little shadow in the middle is Juli. She was terrified, not that I blame her. I wouldn't have gone up in the first place!

I told her she looked like spider-girl up there. That seemed to make her happy. I don't think she'll be doing this again. Nonna said Juli was practicing her meditation breathing the whole time she was scaling the nets.

Quick, one more ride before the park closes!

Pop & Livi taking a stroll. She did not like the rides at all (she must take after her dad). She was perfectly happy just walking around the park taking in the sights. When she wasn't trying to run away that is.

I think it's safe to say that Sara had a good time.

Juli on the Elmo-bug thing.

Sesame Place 6.11.08

Today we took advantage of our season passes and went back to Sesame Place. Juli couldn't wait to get back there! We all had a blast! It wasn't too hot, the heat wave had just broken a few days before, so it was really the perfect time to go!

Here is Juli coming out of the Teeny Tiny Tidal Wave Pool.

James & Juli on the lazy river.

Livi is playing in Ernie's Water Works (at least that's what I think it was called).

This is Elmo's Rocket Ship (or something like that, lol). You can barely see Juli, she is at the very end to the left and I am next to her. She LOVED this ride. She told me it was so much fun and it went SO high that she could see everything. Then she said, "and Mommy, I was only a little bit nervous." LOL

Juli scaled this mountain with NO problems! She didn't slide down as fast as some of the other kids since her bathing suit (or her bathing soup as she calls it) was a little damp and she kept sticking to it.

Livi was excited to be back in the play pit and able to run around freely with the other kids.

After the play pit, we checked out the little playground area. Livi was LOVING the slide. Check out the static in her hair!!

Juli is on the air balloon ride. She went on with James and they waved to me from way up high. She thought that was pretty cool.

Of course we had to go back so Juli could do the lazy river again. We were afraid she was going to fall asleep, she looked so cozy!

Last but not least, Juli wanted to do the roller coaster. So off we went. I put a little arrow on the picture where we were sitting. She LOVED it and wanted to know why we didn't go around again!

Hopefully we will be able to go back soon!

Sesame Place

Yesterday we took the girls to Sesame Place. Juli was super excited about going to see "where Elmo lives!" As soon as Juli saw this sign she started running and screaming, "SESAME PLACE, SESAME PLACE, SESAME PLACE!!" and dragging poor James behind her!

Waiting in line for tickets.

As soon as we got inside the park, Juli spotted Super Grover. She was much more excited to meet the characters than she looks in the pictures! LOL

There were A LOT of water rides in the park. We did our best to avoid them and ended up promising to come back when it was warm enough to do them. Instead we found lots of fun things for the girls to do. Here's Juli climbing up a mountain of huge balls to go down a slide.

She made it!

The shovel and pail you see behind James and Juli is actually another slide. You climb up in the back of the bucket and slide down the sand.

Next we found Cookie Monster on Sesame Street. Livi wasn't really digging the characters, which if you know Livi is no surprise.

Juli in Mr. MacIntosh's grocery store. No idea who Mr. MacIntosh is, when I was little it was Mr. Hooper's store.

Ernie, Juli and Bert.

Juli and Livi hanging out on Sesame Street. Unfortunately they don't have the Oscar the Grouch trashcan that you could get your picture taken in anymore. :-( Of course they probably haven't had it for years, but how the heck would I know??

Here we are watching Elmo's World Live. Livi still wasn't sure about the characters, even from a distance!

Livi did love this HUGE playpit though. It was all soft surfaces and blocks for little kids. Unfortunately she only got to spend about five minutes there because someone stole our stroller so we had to go look for it. We found it a little while later after some searching around a corner. We think someone grabbed the wrong stroller and when they realized it they just left it there.

Since we found the stroller over by the carousel, Juli and James decided to go on. Juli has a thing for carousels. She loves to ride the one in the mall every time we go there.

Here's Livi waiting while Juli and I went on some flying Elmo ride. Juli wanted to go on it because she "misses the one at Disney." It was a lot like the Dumbo ride, except the cars were Elmos dressed up as fish.

Super Grover Topiary. There were quite a few of these around the park. They were pretty neat.

Here's Livi trying out Juli's Backpack Buddy. She doesn't like it quite as much as Juli does. LOL

Juli and James, smack dab in the middle in the blue and white cup, going on the Teacups.

I took about a million pictures of the teacups hoping to get a few good ones. It was hard because they were moving so fast and Juli is so little I could barely see her in the cup! LOL I love how happy/excited Juli looks in these!

After the Teacups we went to meet Zoe and Elmo. Juli LOVES Zoe. She told me she is her favorite character.

And here is Livi when she spotted Elmo. LOL.
Juli and Elmo.

Here's Juli in the Monster Maze. These punching bag things kept knocking her over. She thought it was pretty funny.

This may have been Juli's favorite part. It was a huge airbag/moonbounce type thing. She went in and was running around like she was flying and doing flips and stuff. In fact if you scroll really fast, it may even seem like she is in action!

On our way out we ran into Zoe again. She was just getting to her photo spot when Juli saw her. As soon as she saw Zoe she ran right over to her.
Goodbye Zoe! See you next time! Muah!
Zoe catching Juli's kiss.

We also saw the Count on our way out.

Here are some more of the character topiaries with little miss attitude.

Believe it or not Juli was asleep before we even got out of the parking lot, which wasn't long since we were at the end of the first row.

Livi held out a little longer, but she eventually crashed too.
